Director of Research
Paul is Director of Research for the ATDA and works at the National Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. He started his railroad career in 1985, working for several railroads before becoming a CSX Train Dispatcher and ATDA member on December 1, 1997. Paul was elected as a Vice General Chairman for the CSX System Committee in 2005 and served 3 terms. He was elected as an Alternate Trustee at the 31st General Assembly in 2011 and again at the 33rd General Assembly in 2019, served as interim National Vice President in 2015 and again in 2023, and was Assistant Director of Research from 2016 to 2019.
Paul assists the National Officers, General Chairmen, and system committee officers with preparing cases for Arbitration. He assists committees with the preparation of appeals and grievances as needed, and assists with discipline investigations, hearings, contract negotiations, and other duties as assigned by the President.
