President

Ed serves as ATDA President & CRLO Chairman while working out of the National Headquarters in Cleveland, OH. He began his railroad career in 1998, when he was hired as a CSX Train Dispatcher. He established ATDA seniority a brief time later, in January 1999. He began his career as an ATDA representative when he was elected as First Vice General Chairman of the CSX System Committee in 2008. After CSX decentralized its Jacksonville, FL operations center, he was elected as Vice General Chairman / Local Chairman of the CSX Huntington Division.

In 2011, Ed became a National Officer when he was was elected as ATDA Vice President at the Organization’s 31st General Assembly. In 2015, Ed was elected to the position of ATDA Secretary-Treasurer by the ATDA Joint Board. He served in the position for two additional terms, after winning re-election at the Organization’s 2015 32nd General Assembly, and it’s 2019 33rd General Assembly. In 2023 Ed was elected as ATDA President by the delegates of the Organization’s 34th General Assembly.

Additionally, in January 2024, Ed was elected by his fellow Rail Union Presidents to serve as Chairman of the Cooperating Railway Labor Organizations (CRLO). In this role, Ed is primarily responsible for overseeing the National Health & Welfare Plan, which covers over 300,000 railroaders, dependents, and retirees.

As President, Ed is responsible for leadership of the ATDA on all matters.
