Ft. Worth, Texas – On April 29, 2025, American Train Dispatchers Association (ATDA) member Mickey Scoggins was elected as General Chairman of the Trinity Rail System Committee. Initially hired by Herzog (the agency that operates the Trinity System) as a flagger in 2015, Scoggins went on to become a freight conductor and locomotive engineer for the company, before being promoted to Train Dispatcher in 2019.
Commenting on his election, Scoggins said “It’s important to me to have a strong union so that our employees can be effectively represented and protected. That’s what I want to achieve and why I decided to run for General Chairman. At the same time, a union is only as strong as the participation of its membership. So, my goal is to grow our membership on the property and to cultivate more participation.”
