Legislative and Political Action

March Update

March 04, 2026

Brothers and Sisters,

The month of March brought forward an incredible opportunity to finally meet with many of you in San Antonio, Texas. Our four-day training was an exciting time to hear from you all directly on the things affecting you in your daily work, and subsequently discuss what was going on at the federal level.

I was proud to participate in our breakout session with President Dowell and CRLO Administrator Dave Ursini describing how the ATDA operates. It seemed to be a great session that provided context for our local labor leaders. It led to comprehensive discussions about our overall operations and structure.

I hope that my presentation surrounding the recent happenings at the federal level helped to realize the importance of being involved with the federal government. The actions at the federal level, whether they are legislative, regulatory, or political, have a seismic impact on the work you all do each day. We must ensure that our voice is heard and that our members stay up-to-date and educated on those essential activities.

Most importantly, the daily meals, sidebar conversations, and evenings together gave me an immense amount of perspective. I appreciated the openness and community that I felt, the topics I learned about, and the relationships that I formed. I use these conversations to progress our issues forward and guide my work each day.

Toward the end of the month, back in Washington DC, I engaged members of the Congressional Labor Caucus and discussed these critical train dispatcher safety issues with them. Their members and staff seemed open and willing to understand these issues and be a part of the solution.

I remain in your service. Always reach out with questions or concerns.

In solidarity,

Jeffrey Robb
