ABOUT

The American Train Dispatchers Association Political Action Committee (ATDA PAC) is the entity that supports political candidates who are supportive of ATDA members and their interests, regardless of political affiliation. Railroads and anti-union institutions spend millions to influence policymakers on Capitol Hill, but ATDA PAC is our way to fight back.

With Railroad Retirement under attack, Train Dispatchers forced to use inadequately tested, malfunctioning software, and workers’ rights hanging on by a thread; your contribution matters more than ever. ATDA PAC makes our collective voice heard and provides support to candidates who support working-class railroaders.

ATDA PAC does not use or receive any union member dues for political activity, including contributions to candidates’ campaigns for public office. Contributions to ATDA PAC are completely voluntary, and contributions to the PAC do not mean contributors are told how to vote or who to support in their individual electoral decisions. Contributing to the PAC illustrates that we support those who support us. Nothing more, nothing less.

Contributions to the ATDA PAC are not tax deductible and are used for the benefit of political candidates and activities on a state or national level that support the rail and transit industry. Donations are voluntary, and contributors can give more or less than indicated on the PAC contribution levels, which is only a suggestion, and is not enforceable. Neither your employer nor the union will discriminate or retaliate against you based on whether or not you choose to contribute to the ATDA PAC. The amount given by the contributor, or the refusal to give, will not benefit or disadvantage the person being solicited. Federal law prohibits ATDA PAC from soliciting or receiving donations from anyone other than executive and administrative personnel or members of the organization and their families. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
