ATDA President Dowell Advocates for Members in Washington D.C.

The AFL-CIO’s Transportation Trades Department (TTD) Executive Committee convened on November 9th in Washington D.C. The meeting’s purpose was to develop a collaborative strategy for the advancement of transportation labor in light of recent political developments. This included consideration of various legislative and spending bills, including the Transportation and Urban Development Act, Railroad Employee Equality and Fairness Act (a bipartisan bill introduced that would end sequestration of Railroad Retirement Unemployment and Sickness Benefits ), and the political landscape for 2024.

President Dowell was on hand as a TTD Executive Committee member, advocating for ATDA members.
