On July 24, 2025, ATDA member Winston Darlington, his family, and their two pets narrowly survived a fire in their Lynn, Massachusetts home. Deemed a “total loss” by authorities, the dwelling is now uninhabitable, and the family has been displaced. A Train Dispatcher on the Keolis System, Darlington was preparing to leave for work in the early morning, when his granddaughter interrupted to tell him about the spreading fire. While this act ultimately ensured the family’s survival, most of their possessions were destroyed along with the home.
