This tool is designed as a way to report errors and glitches that could present safety vulnerabilities within Train Dispatch systems. Furthermore, the Reporting Tool has been designed as a means of reporting other safety issues that Dispatchers encounter within their daily work.
Examples of these include (but are not limited to) a Dispatcher console screen where a crossing protection displays in the wrong track segment, new Carrier software that is not reliably protecting as claimed, or radio “dead spots” where Dispatchers regularly have no communication with trains.
